PROJECT OVERVIEW

Tricon delivered a refurbishment of the Globe Restaurant and Bar at Clayton Hotel Cork City, a 300 square metre food and beverage space within an operating hotel. The scope centred on an extensive specialist joinery package, supported by full electrical upgrades, new flooring, and decoration throughout.

Delivered for Dalata Group with CMP as project managers and architect, the works transformed the restaurant and bar into a refined hospitality environment, combining bespoke joinery with upgraded services and finishes.

The Challenge

A hotel restaurant and bar refurbishment sets a high bar for finish. As a guest-facing hospitality space, the quality of the joinery, detailing, and finishes is central to the experience, and the work must be executed to a standard that reads as considered and durable in daily use.

The setting adds its own demand. Refurbishing a food and beverage space within an operating hotel calls for careful control of noise, dust, and access to protect guests and the wider hotel operation for the duration of the works. Delivering a joinery-heavy fit-out to a high standard, within a live hotel environment, requires precise coordination and sequencing.

The Approach

Tricon approached the refurbishment as a joinery-led fit-out, coordinating the specialist joinery package with the electrical upgrades, tiling, and decoration so that each element supported a consistent finished result across the space.

Working to the design from CMP, Tricon managed the fabrication and installation of the bespoke elements, from the front and back bars to the feature paneling and seating, alongside the services and finishes works, sequencing the trades to bring the restaurant and bar to a coordinated completion.

delivery

The specialist joinery package formed the core of the works, including front and back bars, leather seating booths, timber slat-style screens, timber bookcases, waiter stations, timber feature wall paneling, and a meet-and-greet desk. All electrics were upgraded with new lighting and distribution boards.

New herringbone ceramic tiles were fitted throughout, with decoration completed to all walls and joinery. The works were delivered across the 300 square metre restaurant and bar to a finished hospitality standard.

outcome

The completed project delivered a refurbished Globe Restaurant and Bar finished to a refined hospitality standard, with an extensive bespoke joinery fit-out, upgraded electrical services, and new finishes throughout.

The result gave Dalata Group a distinctive, well-detailed food and beverage space within Clayton Hotel Cork City, ready for guest use.
